Tips for a Healthy Spring

Spring is finally here and that means flowers, picnics, sunny weather, rain showers, and spring cleaning. Spring can also be a great time to focus on your health and wellness. Sure, there’s lots of fun activities to do now in the spring but there's also lots of new healthy habits you can pick up this season. You do have to make sure to give up the old unhealthy ones. Out with the old, in with new. Winter is over, you have to get out of the house and start feeling the magic of spring!

This Spring, Spend Time Outdoors.

One way to have a healthy spring is to go out more. The weather is perfect this time of the year so why not enjoy it? If you've been inside for the winter your vitamin D levels may be low. If you feel fatigued, depressed, achy, your hair thinning, or your muscles in pain, you may have vitamin D deficiency. Well don't worry about it! By going outside in the sunlight for at least 30 minutes, you can quickly restore your vitamin D levels.

Walking outside more is good exercise and can also improve your heart health, and even help you fight anxiety or depression. A good way to reduce your stress levels is to be in nature and take a break from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Just a walk in the park or quick hike can be a huge relief. Or you can take a shortcut by getting a vitamin D injection to speed the process up.

How to Fight Off Allergies on Spring?

Some of us can go outside no problem and for others it can be a challenge. With all the fresh flowers and trees blooming, spring is in the air but also allergens are too. Well if you're looking to combat those allergies, there's a few things you can do.

Keep allergens out! For one you can keep windows closed or certain rooms pet-free to limit your exposure. If you dust regularly and vacuum, that can help too. If you have puffy eyes from all the irritation there are caffeine-based creams or cold compresses can be especially soothing for irritated eyes. If you want to fight pollen, some studies show pure, raw, local honey may help build natural antibodies to combat it. Got a stuffy nose? Try a neti pot. This ancient Indian tradition provides a natural method of nasal cleansing that help unclog your nose.

Eat Foods in Season.

Tips for a Healthy Spring 3

One good way to improve your health is to take advantage of the variety of all fruits and vegetables available during spring. Apples, asparagus, avocado, carrots, celery, garlic, pineapple, and strawberries are all full or nutrients and are all in season during this time.

Healthy diet includes adding vegetables and fruit every day. Vegetables like broccoli, green beans, leafy greens, zucchini, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, and tomatoes are low in calories and high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Try to eat about 3 to 5 servings every day. You should try to eat about 2 to 3 servings of fruit each day as well. It goes without being said that it's OK to indulge in the occasional ice cream cone. Although, frozen yogurt would be a healthier alternative and a good way to keep your body slim for the summer season.

A Healthy Spring Starts with Good Sleep.

It can be difficult to adjust to the longer days of springtime, particularly with abrupt daylight savings adjustments. Sleep deprivation can cause you to have some health problems since a tired body can weaken your immune system. How can you get the shut-eye you need? Make sure you have a sleep routine. If you go to bed at the same time, even on weekends, this can help switch your mindset into 'sleep mode'. Also make sure to disconnect from all screens and devices at least an hour before going to sleep. All that light can stimulate our brains and make it even more difficult to fall asleep. Keep your room cool as well, we fall asleep easier with lower temperatures than a hot and sticky room.

Spring Clean Your Life.

Spring can be a good time to not just clean your home but to also clean yourself. For instance, use the season to avoid drugs and excesses. You can protect your liver and take a break from alcohol whenever possible. It can be difficult to stop when everyone is always going out, but your body will thank you. It's also good to try a healthy detox or even chelation therapy. There are lots of recipes for detox teas and juices to remove toxins from your body. It's good to go to a spa or sauna and try to sweat out some of the toxins. It'll also help you to clean out your personal life. Some people can be negative influences on our lives and weigh down on us. All that negativity creates unneeded stress. Try to live your best life this season.

Tips for a Healthy Spring 2

If you want to put your health into overtime, you must get the right nutrients in your system. Sure, you could eat lots of fruits and vegetables or try supplements, but the best way to get vitamins and minerals in your system quickly is with IV Therapy. IV therapy gives you the full health benefits right away. There are also different IV drips for different purposes. There are ones to boost your immune system, detox your body, give you more energy or focus, even fight a hangover. Without 21st century lifestyles of constant work or dealing with family, we don’t have time to get the right nutrients into our body and it can affect our health.

Spring is when nature finally blooms and so should we. We should try to be our best selves but also make the effort of doing it all year round. If we learn healthy habits in the spring, we can maintain them through summer, fall and winter as well. Our health should be our main priority, we only have one life to lead so why not be as healthy as possible? Spring clean your life to make it the best one it can be.
